my neighbor two houses down had his cruiser do the same thing... the neighbor in between us had to call him in down in arizona and tell him his 40' cruiser was laying on its side on the dock... rough water is nothing to mess with, make sure you have the best dock/lift you can get...

I have seen this quite a few times here they said there are rough water lifts that a lot of people don't want to spend the extra $$$ for but by the # of boats I have seen like this I know I will be getting one when I get my boat. Like Sean H I usually see the one side give out though and the boat laying on the side.

Thats going to be my problem I am at the busiest part of the lake with little break wall so no matter what I get I can expect a lot of maint.

do you have one of the concrete docks or concrete decking. if its a concrete dock how is it holding up? the design is relativly new and have been wondering how there doing in the rough.

concrete decking with the mini j-joist or whatever they are called that rough water docks uses..... that seems to work fine, its where my ramp meets the dock that i think i will have my biggest issue.. it takes a ton of strain... we already switched it out to a 1" steel rod for a pivot pin...
