Check out 223 or 242 Formulas. I had a 1990 223 with a 460hp 454 that ran 68 gps. That was about the limit for the hull (built in hook in the hull to help with cruising)...but a great boat! I sold mine for 21K two years ago. You could probably pick one up for 15-18K that is in good shape. Built like a brick chit house!!

chuck21401,

That formula looks like a lot boat for the money. Someone needs to jump on that one.

I see people bash Bajas on here from time to time. If you can afford the best of the best then go get one. If you're middle income like me and don't have 60 grand lying around to spend on a boat you might want to think about an Outlaw. I've got a 95 24 footer that runs 70 on GPS with mild 502 and it's great in rough water for a boat that size. You can pick up a really clean one in the lower to mid twenties and have a blast.

I appreciate the comments old school and magic medicine. I've had the boat for sale on traderonline, salty dog (mid atlantic classifieds) and the local paper. Not even one call or email in months. Must be a buyer's market.

Chuck, unfortunately I think you're right about a buyers market. I have a feeling that performance boats in this general price range are hard to move. Where in the Annapolis area do you frequent? I'm on the south river but I get to the Rhode, Severn and Magothy.

Chuck, is that a Bravo drive? Any interest in trading up, or down?

I keep the boat in Shady Side, so we spent most of our time on the West and Rhodes Rivers. Occassionally we'll run to Annapolis or St Michaels.
