It has definitly altered the way I run my boat. (I never thought Id say that !!) But it has. I havent really done any real hard running up and down the lake and for the most part we have been taking out my wifes pontoon boat out to the bays to raft up and party. I have put maybe $1800.00 in gas in the Tiger and put 15 hours on it and have put $220.00 in the pontoon and put 50 hours on it. The party boat is much more fun if you are only going out to one of the bays to raft up and party or entertain on. Dont get me wrong, In no way does it replace the Tiger or any other performance boat, but in the current situation, it makes much more sence to just use the Tiger for Poker Runs and winter boating in Florida.
So I guess the answer is No, Ill never stop boating, just alter the way I do my boating
Gas on the water is anywhere from $3.00 to $3.59 here on Lake George

Gas is 7.00$ a gallon over in UK. whats the big deal. 2.79$ on the water at LOTO. It may affect boating if it got over 5.00$/gallon, but most guys with big boats and horsepower have the cash anyway. Are you going to start walking to, gas goes in cars as well. Its worth the extra few bucks for the stress relief of working your ass off 70 hours a week just to have a nice boat. Enjoy it and if it really is that tight a pinch, everyone here has good ideas, just tie up and have a ice cold Bud.

I'm falling into what seems to be the general thought process here..... pull back on the throttles and the amount of hours we put on the boats.... I've been running soft and spending a lot more time cracking the cold ones.... along with not traveling so far to boating spots..... like most, just can't give up a bad habit!!!!
