I am pretty sure it was the 28 bat boat that kicked azz and was put into ax class with buzzi boat. the 24s can later and were called 1 design there great but, I'll take a 28 pantra/saber28/ sutphen 26/ even my mod 24 baja over the 24 bat in real rough water like the cape races 02 never saw them start and if they did never saw one pass me that was real rough water that was tight close waves even the big boats only ran 60 that afternoon when it got better out. not knocking them I do want to rent one for a race or two if I am not going to run the saber this year. but A class it was the 28s and they did kick azz there was 1 I think.

Well you may be right about the 28s. I got involved in Offshore racing for the first time in 2001. Chris Reindl was running the One Design class then and he only had 24s. I've never seen a 28 race but CSpray has one and he says it's an awesome rough water boat and will outrun lots of boats up to 36'.
