    A little known bit of info that can save you some good money over the course of a heating season... Keep the delta between your high and low temps on your thermostat to no more than 6 degrees. Your heating system will work harder to make up a greater difference then it will to maintain the lower temp, thus burning more fuel. (My family owned two oil companies up here for 50 years, so... been there - done that)

    Our heating oil dealer sets a cap every year if you are on automatic delivery
    2.28 this year. I think we got lucky.
