I dont think thats what hes talkin about. Wiggler, jump in
here & explain. Great resale??? I don't think that exists
in the world of performence boating. Or do you mean
that I can sell a used 2003 top gun,for more than a
used 2003 42 Fountain. Not taking into account that it
costs twice as much.
Your statement on Chief says it all. You read a
little about it and are baseing your assesment of the
product on what you have read, never really having
ridden in one or even seen one up close.I'd also like to
see them be sucessful, along with powerplay, pantera
and many others that are on the edge or gone. For
my doller, I'm buying from a company thats been
around for awhile with a proven track record.
I found it odd that when asked for an opinion
with the criterea Wiggler set forth, that so many
people came up with boats such as Chief, sutphen,
Pantera & cig. Sunsation & powerquest are clearly
the type line hes probably looking for. High Quality,
but not exorbantly priced, with a good selection of
boats from 25-40 ft. How many 25 ft chiefs & cigs
are availible?
im cheap and poor so when i shop (used) i look for the best resale value before anything else. there are few makes that imho hold value better then others. cig, formula, apache, active thunder(chief), and fountain to name a few. great or "good" is a better word resale does exist if you pick the right boat and dont keep it forever.

my picks were also based on boats that can handle the abuse at loto. although i havent seen a Chief or ridden in one i have ridden in a 32 Active Thunder. great boat. i also owned a 28 Apache which was built by one of the guys involved with Chief. i have no doubts him and the other guys involved will continue to build a quality product whether it says Chief or Active Thunder on the title. again, this is just my opinion.

Sunsation and Powerquest already have dealers at loto so they are exempt from wigglers critera.

You'll never get Fountain away from Raymonds so they are out of the question also.

Point taken.
As far as Sunsation and Powerquest, I didnt mean
those manufacturers exactly. I just meant that type
of manufacturer.Good line,good boats,not to pricey.

I wonder how they even sell them. When you
look at the prices of their used boats it amazes
me the can even get a sale. I bought a brand new
35 Ex for 12k more than they are asking for a 4 year
old used lightning with 502's
