Default Do I need Shrinkwrap?

I keep my boat under a Carport all winter long. I have the canvas covers for the bow and cockpit and on top of that a big custom fit plastic tarp with flannel lining inside. My boat made it through last winter fine. My question is about shrinkwrapping. Is that mostly for boats that stay outside with no roof over their heads?

Winters are not usually harsh I keep the boat in Fredericksburg, VA.

Shrinkwrapping would be a mistake if any moisure is in the boat, bilge etc. You would come back to a mildew mess.

The canvas covers allow it to breath a little.
