Default Power Steering Question

Does anybody know if the older style power assist cylinder (trs and bravos) can be substituted with the one piece newer style?

Yes and no! I just did the conversion. The ram will bolt right on. But you have to buy 2 new hoses. The new ram uses the o-ring type fitting instead of the old flair fitting. The hoses sell for around $150 for both. It was a easy swap.

Well I have the TRS. The new part 865383a02 is one unit. where the old system was a culmination of a bunch of parts. Looks like maybe the new unit will fit where the old ram was held in and all I would have to do is use my old ram extension and couplers and I should be in business.
Do you know that this wont work? If not what are my options?

Thanks for your help

Ron
