Default Show Me Your Boats Canvas Enclosure

I am looking for some ideas to enclose the cockpit area with some type of canvas enclosure. I am thinking this would be nice for those rainy days at the dock or nights when you just are not ready to go to the cabin.

I don't normally like to show these, but here you go. I also have the rear canvas to totally enclose the cockpit, but I don't use it much.

A friend of mine had one made for his 38' Sonic. I don't have any pics of it right now, but it is nice. Last year a bunch of us jumped on it in late October and went to the local resturant for crabs and beer. Around here it gets to the low 50's at night that late in the year and the enclosure was great. It's even better when a summer shower or t-storm passes through. It take about 10 minutes to put up. I'll get a pic and pass it on.

Hey thanks for the pics and keep them comming.
I have a cockpit cover but if it rains and we are in the cuddy I have no way to completly snap it up and the water could drain in and the wind would blow the loose canvas around.
The boat does not have a hatch that with other boats I could at least snap it up and crawl into the cuddy.

I was thinking that if I could get some kind of enclosure to put up at night I could invite friends along and at least sleep on the back bench or floor.
We have been staying on the boat a lot more and want to make it a little more comfortable at night at the dock.

Cordell,
You hit it right on the head! The last (3) boats I've owned, I have had custom enclosures built. Our boat serves many purposes. Whether it's a poker run, day out with friends or a long weekend with the wife and kids, our boat needs to be functional! We are NOT fair weather boaters up here in Minnesota. When your baoting season is only a few months long...even rainy days look good!
I know, these "tops" don't actually personify the "go fast" look...but I guess I'll sacrifice looks for function. Heck, on hot summer nights, the A/C does a pretty good job of keeping the whole cuddy AND cockpit cool!

Dont worry about it . . . the best boating occurs when the weather turns bad. Rockin through ugly water in cold weather - in full foul-weather gear. . . when you finally make it back to the dock, you have earned your cocktail. . . . nothing wrong with good canvas in nasty weather. . . .

Yeah, but mine is about the ugliest, and it's ripped, and marooon.
Really not the image I like to show
