Re: What does Pickle an engine mean?

Hello all, Pickle means to drain all water from engine complete, then fill from Carb with Diesel fuel to the top.
And I mean completely full of diesel fuel. leave sit for a week or two, then drain, remove plugs and turn over to kick the rest out. Install new plugs and start. No problem, I had two that way I bought. Ran perfect after that.
But the gas tanks are Junk, wireing harness junk. fridge junk, interior junk, all fabric junk. Total waste of my money. Sold boat because could never get it rite. But engines where O/K because they where Pickled. Good luck.
