Re: Skater Question

Kevlar...DuPont's miracle fiber. Pound per pound stronger than steel.
Used in tires it's called Aramid. Used in bullet-proof vests because it's light and saves lives.
Mark McManus once told me it's the only thing to build strong, lasting boats of.

Don't forget to have the boat surveyed before you buy it. As good as Kevlar
is, it is still able to absorb moisture if breached.

Re: Skater Question

i have rigged 2 skaters with trips. i would strongly recomend analiozing the transom very closely. the first was a 36 with triple 2.5 race motors set uo to turn around 8000 rpm. dialed it in at lake x, she ran 118+.
the second was a 32 with 300's she ran about 112 . accordind to peter she was a heqavier piece because of the lack of carbon . it also had a weak transom, in my oppinion because of the way the rear of the boat was cut.

good luck
