Thoughts on outdoor winter storage
 

Just wondering how many guys store their boats
outdoors for the winter. If so what are your thoughts
on shrink wrap.
I usally store mine in pole barn with just my
regular full cover and havent had a problem,but
I bought a brand new boat this year and want to
keep her lookin pretty!

Shrink wrap all the way down the gunnals after a good wash and wax. Come spring, rinse the boat off and go...This is the only way to go outdoors....

Store it indoors, out of the sun, out of the condesation-causing snow on/snow off cycle. Things can get pretty funky under shrinkwrap. Plus, shrinkwrap ain't cheap.

Store inside with a breathable cover and remove all cloth type materials that will come out (pillows, cushions, life jackets, etc). Open all doors and hatches (not deck hatches) to let air circulate.

It's worth the money to be indoors.

we have stored most of our boats outside, we had the BT shrink wrapped and the guy did a great job, breathing holes and support posts, he also puts a bag of charcoal in the cabin. I left the cushions and fridge proped open but have always left stuff, like the bed linens & towels in the cabin. etc. We have not had mold in the boat.
This year we are keeping it inside an unheated metal building. We used our regular cover but left everyting inside the cabin like in years past including the bag of charcoal. Is there a differnce between outside and inside storage when it comes to mold and mildew, I sure hope not!
