I'd love to go down there in the morning, but I'll be out late this evening and haven't gotten my parka out of storage yet! What time is registration and where is the nearest boat ramp that isn't a POS?....just in case

Can someone verify if the registration is really at 8am. If so why so early??? Last year this event was in the end of September with a lot of other boaters out, we were trying to get done before the fairview crowd rolled in. It is so late in the year, I can not imagine that many boats out. Especially in mid 50 degree temps.

This is what I was going by.... It will be a cold ride at 8 am with temps 40-50 degrees that early.
