Default GAS problems So Florida-TURNPIKE

CNN just reported $20.00 maximum on gas from Ft Pierce south on the turnpike.

I advise to call ahead if going this week.

Trash, etc has been cleared.

I was on it yesterday from W. Palm to 595. The lines started about 3 miles up the road on the shoulder trying to get into them. Unbelievable!

I just got of the phone with a friend of mine in Fort Lauderdale, he had to drive to Vero to get diesel. There are some stations that have some with no lines. Long lines for gas though.

Jupiter FL has diesel and regular fuel on Indiantown Road exit (main Jupiter exit). Diesel was no wait since station only had diesel. All stations today were open by 6:30 am, you could buy unlimited amounts and most places take credit cards but not debit. All grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Home Depots are open and have generators for sale. Several restaurants are open as well.

In Vero Beach, Florida...$2.63 per gallon. No lines. Ft. Lauderdale...Gas stations four days ago, a few were just opening with 60 cars in line & long walk-up lines. Today, many more stations are open with short lines. Things are getting a little better. Ed

Whats the fuel situation like on the water. I need to fill up my Tiger before the Running in the Poker Run in 2 weeks. It is going to take about 250 gallons. Anybody have any info on this. I could fill it before launching, but it sounds like I might have trouble filling it on land. The boat is already in Miami, so filling it before getting down in that area is not an option

Gas on the water even in the best of time is much more than on land.

We're filling in NJ or something of that nature on the way down to avoid contributing to the mess down there.

I imagine filling the truck to the brim on the way down around Jupiter would be a good move also.

G.L. I am aware that thats what you are going to do. I dont have that option, my boat is alreadydown in Miami along with my Truck. Filling in NJ or Jupiteris not an option for me. Im thinking that Marinas on the water might not have the same damage or the long lines and $20.00 maximum
