Anyone ever boated there or live there? How is it for power boats? Real Estate? Night Life? Marinas?

Thanks

Jim

Yes, we boat and have a place on the lake.

Don's Port Marina is the best on the lake, not much of a night life unless you like small town honky tonks. It's one of the very few lakes in the Dallas FtWorth area that you can build a boat dock on if you have lake front property. Real estate is all the way from 100K to over a Million depending on where you buy around the lake.
They are currently powerboat friendly and also hold a poker run each year at Don's Port.

I grew up at Cedar Creek. It is a small ugly lake to me. More of a family ski lake. There are some very very nice houses on the lake. It is not much for power boats, there are a few, but not much to play with. I dont know about night life. There arent many big/nice marinas because all of the houses have private docks.

My family has a house on the lake, and used to keep a 31 Stinger and River Queen House boat at Dons Port.

Masher,
Have you been to Texoma on a Holiday week-end?
Best Lake, Sandy beaches, Islands with beaches, Couple of bars with beatches. Stay at Tanglewood and take the shuttle back and forth for all you Rum Runners. Leave and let the maid clean up after a nasty Hurricane hit's your room. The routine also includes a stop at Sneaky Pete's on the way home on Sunday afternoon to view the newest crop of strippers. However you are wasting you time chasing Texas and Okla. beach bunnies this time of year. Bring your own.

Or you can get a Houseboat and spend your weekend in the slip washing spider off. Cedar Crick is for family and retiree's dude. The beach bunnies there have diapers or walkers. You will need to do some trading for a nice pontoon or bassboat.
