BLUE MOON the 36 APACHE has them and he boats about 250-300 hours a year. They have been on for a couple of years. Ben at Percision Power Offshore here in Grand Haven can do it for you. They are a real nice setup. Call Ben 1-616-844-1000.

My old single was Whipplecharged and my current twin setup is Whipplecharged. Would not have it any other way. What you need to do is go for a ride in a boat with blowers. Once you go for a ride you will want them on yours. Just make sure you set it up right from the beginning and you will have no issues.

The Rtech system for that engine produces a reliable 800 HP with reprogrammed ECM and upgraded fuel system. That's about the limit for the stock engine. You need 12" clearance above the stock intake.
Almost everybody that supercharges ends up wanting more. Our blower and intercooler are good to 1000 HP but the engine needs much better parts to take the extra power.
Good Luck!

performance: better
price: a lot
reliability: upgrade is good....drives can get hurt
life of the motor: we'll see
resale: who cares
effect on insurance: went up some
I'm glad I upgraded with that. It made it a new boat for me and I liked doing the project. Remember, it's not just the motor, but you have to have additional gauges too. Fuel pumps, sea strainers....blah blah blah.
In business, I design various things, so I designed the new dash plates and asked our sheet metal place to make new ones and repaint/silkscreen them all. Looks nice (to me). I still don't know the performance increase since I didn't replace the speedo (80MPH) and it pegs that.
It had XZ drives, which are good drives, just not strong enough. Now I have one XZ and one XR. The XR uses more power to turn and therefore has less RPM.....just waiting for the XZ to blow. I moved from Bravo1 28 labbed to 32 stock....but now I'm trying 30 stock. Seems about right.
