Another "What is my Boat Worth" Thread, Please Help
It has come time to move up to a bigger and faster boat, and I know the market is not great right now but I'd like to sell my current boat before I move up. I need to know what the boat is worth before I list it. I have gotten some offers, but don't want to sell for too low, or list too high. So here it is:
1985 34' Scarab III "Go Time"
Engines are Gen IV 454's bored to 496, rebuilt by JC Performance when all is said and done (and a roll of duct tape with a reach around because I know everyone will ask ) Dynoed at 520HP. Engines only have 30 hours on them. Has TRS Drives with nose cones, both recently rebuilt and in great shape (5 hours on LH and 20 hours on RH). It has full Hydraulic steering by XS Performance, which we put in at the beginning of this season. The boat is in great shape overall (hopefully Byrdman, Panther, Or anyone else who saw it at the NYC run can chime in on this thread) Just replaced the carpet in the cockpit, and the rest is in good shape. Has full cabin, also in good shape. The last thing I was going to do was update the gauges, but I'll leave that for the buyer. Just replaced the stereo, and did a bunch of other minor things (re-did the bilge and all hoses, pumps, etc. when the engines were out) What do you think would be a good price to list/sell the boat for???? Here are some pictures of the boat. Thanks for any input.

I really don't know. What does N.A.D.A or BUC say it's value is? Call a dealer and tell them you are interested in possibly trading your boat in and see what kind of ballpark #'s they give you....then add some $$ onto it

Good luck on doing a trade. I've been trying to trade mine for a CCF and the brokers/dealers don't even return calls.

Hey I think the asking price of 40K is a good place to start. I have seen them sell between 20 and 35. It all depends on how fast you want a new boat. Good Luck
