Somebody has some R&D into the project...about 14 hours worth and then quit. There might be promise in the idea, but it needs a heap of work for the idea to come to fruition. Sounds like a perfect project for Fred!

I thought stainless marine racing the black boat in 2001 or so had a set up like that???? class was the old A or svl single

Yup, they had it on the black boat.

Adib Mastry was also playing with one on a 16' Donzi. Steve Miklos would have the details, not sure where that project went.

Yup they sure did and that thing moved out big time.

It is a great idea but wouldn't buying outboards be much easier :drink: :drink: That steering would scare the crap out of me as well.
