The problem we had with engine was water went up the tailpipe from the flapper that had blown out. It got in the rear cylinder & probably messed up the valve. The former owner changed the oil every 25 hrs I was told. He did run the boat hard but thats what these boats are for. I don't think the
problem we had had anything to do with him.

Every 525 is dyno'd and if it dont do 540hp, they tear it down.
