superhcharged merc. 6.2
does anyone have experience with supercharging the 6.2 liter 377 mercury motors? I have a fully redone 28 cigarette with the 6.2 mpi's and bravo drives and I am considering supercharging them. what do you think?

Re: superhcharged merc. 6.2
I installed a Whipple on one a couple of years ago for a customer. It's still running great. However, I replaced the ECU and went with a FAST programmable unit because Whipple didn't have the mapping completed for the PCM 555 ECU that the engine had. The engine has held up great, but he doesn't run it hard. Very little long WOT runs since the boat is small and is really overpowered.

Re: superhcharged merc. 6.2
I have twin 6.2's as well. I know of several people that have had great luck with the procharger systems, however they don't have a kit for the 6.2's just the 350 mags. They are supposed to come out with a system compatible to the 6.2's this month. I keep checking with them and they keep saying just a matter of a few days. When were you thinking of doing this? -Nick

I have a Procharged 350Mag Mpi that I have run very hard for long runs. It is completely stock under the valve covers with no problems so far.

Re: superhcharged merc. 6.2
I have no first hand knowledge, but I've read that the placement of the rings on the 6.2's doesn't make them good candidates for supercharging.
