I'm proud
Of my first cousin Thomas Maffey for being promoted yesterday to the rank of Brigadier General in the United States Army. For those not in the know, that means he is a one star general at the age of 42.
This is the kid I used to play army with in his backyard when we were about 6 yrs old.
Tommy works at the Pentagon and no doubt is very involved in planning the attacks on Iraq.
Give em hell Tommy. Make us proud.

Tommy was the Captain of the drill team at Xavier. This is what he wanted to be all his life. He just wanted to be a soldier.
He has jumped into Panama and has lead men by the thousands.
He has worked hard all his life to attain this. With men like Tommy at the helm of our war machine, I know we will be unstoppable.
