I just saw an ad in "Boating" for Speed Boat magazine. Does anyone have any more info about the magazine and the people who will be writing for it? The ad was simple but caught my eye.

I read the first issue, I liked it. A lot of boat reviews. Issue 1 is a 2005 issue. I purchased it a Barnes and Nobel in Minnesota.

From what I've seen they've yet to publish another issue. I bought the 1st issue months ago. All in all I thought it was a very good magazine. Not sure what the hold up on new issues is??

I bought one as well, I believe that it's a yearly or semi annual print. The first issue's reviews and articles were assembled from past boating mags because I have seen most of its contents before in Boating Mag. They just consolidated all the hi perf stuff into one issue. I think that they were testing the marketing waters so to speak.

Eric Colby is a good friend of mine. (also my sledding partner) and is in the process of putting together another issue.

It was never intended to be a monthly print but it's had such great response that other issues could be in the works.
