All I Want For Christmas Is...
The Perfect Boat!
OK... Here's the deal... As many of you know, I sold my 22-foot bowrider, and I plan to get another (bigger) boat in the Spring. Someone told me that a boat can be BIG, FAST, CHEAP (Pick TWO! ). With that in mind, I want BIG (30 feet or more, but under 10,000 pounds so that I can trailer it) and CHEAP (under $50K). If I want fast, I will go to Full Throttle Marine and drop some green there.
I primarily boat on Lake Travis. I need a "wave crusher" to get from the ramp to the party cove (Devil's Cove). I need a large FLAT sundeck so that the Claymates can lay out and get some "all over" sun. I would like a twin-engine boat with Bravo drives (TRS drives worry me), so I am looking at 1990 and later.
I am six-feet tall, so I would like a large cabin. I would also like an enclosed head for the ladies. I will overnight a few times a year, so it would be nice to be able to have (or add) Air Conditioning and Shore power. A swim platform is a must, but I guess it could be added later.
While I like the "old school" look, I love a white dash. A dark dash in Texas is a bad idea. In fact, any color on "horizontal" surfaces gets very hot!
Did I forget anything? Please let me know anything else I might want. Also, let me know of a particular model (i.e. Cigarette Bullet, Formula F-311, Sonic 31ss, etc.) that would work for me.
Thanks and Merry Christmas, y'all!

Here is a Cheap 31SS. For the price you can put a trailer under it, and redo the dash in your price range.

The TRS drives worry me, but otherwise a nice boat.
