My New SL 44 ( 44 ft )

Here is a preview pic of my new LIQUID TECHNOLOGIES SL 44 SUPER- LITE. Still under construction but the pics will give you an idea of what it will look like. I looked at a lot of boats from 38 ft up to 47 ft and was blown away by the pricing and everyboat I saw that was a year or so old had way to many issues with its condition. My son in law has been building all welded aluminum boats for years here on the west coast under the name of RIVER WILD BOATS,jets, river boats, tourboats, white water raceboats etc. After he saw what I wanted at the boat shows he said he could build me something that would be lighter, stronger and a lot less $$$$$ and I could have it custom any way I wanted. So he designed this boat from
scratch. Its kinda a cross between a Fountain 42 and an OuterLimits 42,there is four steps ,each tunable, four air ride seats and much more. I have agreed to promote this boat for him all next summer at Pokerruns. Will be water testing in Feb and will be at the Havasu Pokerrun April 28,06 for demo rides
he has not priced it yet but he expects it to be way less than a Fountain Pokerrun 42. I expect the performance to be outstanding but need to wait till all testing is done. I had told him what I wanted was a Pokerrun boat that would run all day long at 110 + in any water anywhere anytime and not fall apart and I'm hoping that this new all welded aluminum design will fill my needs and hopefully he can sell a bunch of them.

Thanks ROCKIT MAN

Re: My New SL 44 ( 44 ft )

He is working on the trailer now so we can weigh it but I expect around 8,000. lbs The power I picked is a pair of Single carb 572, big chief INDY HEADS ,cmi big tube headers, all jesel, drysumped.all billit, etc. They go to the dyno in Jan and I expect 850-950 hp each.I am using the Arneson Surface Drives
with the Bam 1550 dry sump trans. I want it to be bullit proof so I can run a couple seasons with no breakdowns and I want to be able to hammer it all the time !!!!

Holy crap!! Wow, that has to be one the coolest, most exciting boat projects I've seen on here yet. It's quite unique, I like it. Please keep us informed on the progress of the buid and future performance numbers.

"Tunable" steps? Sounds interesting, how do you mean tunable? On the fly, or at the dock?
