Either way, it`s a terrible tragedy and prayers go out to the victims and their families.

One of the passengers was a shareholder of the company I work for, He was here only a few weeks ago.
His second wife was with him on board the plane.

He leaves two young boys 7 and 8 from his first marriage. :(

from a friend who works there I hear he also leaves a gap that will be very hard to fill..

Godspeed to all, our prayers are with you and yours.

Incredibly sad, at first there were reports of 6 found alive.......I couldn't turn away from the t.v. as the initial rescue was occurring in hopes of seeing survivors.......Godspeed to all

It really annoys me when the news stations focus in on the families as they are informed of the crash... just bad taste. The video footage is disturbing.....

Sad, I had to pick up body parts after a similar float plane crash in Vancouver. It was a twin Otter. What was worse was that I had to verbally fight with the publisher of the biggest newspaper in town. Why? One of his jerk reporters claimed she was "attacked" by one of our 75 year old security guards.

Seems the guard put an arm on her elbow when she tried to jump over the police tape and interfere with the rescue operations. The publisher thought the "attack" deserved nearly as much newspaper space as the crash and deaths of about a dozen people.

I always had a low opinion of the press after that, and the recent Bush/war coverage has not provided me reason to change my thoughts. Anything to make the press seem more important than it really is. So far the press coverage seems ok on the Miami plane crash, unless you were there and really know what happened. RIP to the families.

The one that was worn out on tv last night. It appears to have been taken from south beach.

What a terrible shame!!! Years back when they still had the piston engines what a way cool ride they were. Something about the sound of the exhaust on takeoff when the pilot nails it and lifting off the water when you were a kid. I feel for those involved their last terrifying moments and the loved ones left behind
