Stainless Marine Gen III & Quick/Quiet?

Anyone come up with a match for a Gen III (higher hp) set of Stainless Marines to a Corsa Quick/Quiet stock system on a Merc 502. Need to keep Q/Q for neighbors, but would like larger/longer runners in Gen III for supercharged motor.

You're wanting to go from 5" exhaust down to 4" into the Q&Q?

Re: Stainless Marine Gen III & Quick/Quiet?

I don't know of any quick and quiet set-up you could make work in the tiny space between the transom and stainless 3 manifolds in a bravo application as they are HUGE. I installed them on my 272 baja and it required some serious trimming of the over hang on the transom among other things. What supercharger are you running? I had to trim down the main body of my procharger m-3 AND hack up the air horn/screen just to get the fittings on front of manifold to fit at all. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't,Smitty

Have Livorsi's vortec system with about 450 hours on it now. Have been using the stock manifolds all this time, but the motor is apart for valve job. Thought while it was out I should upgrade exhaust. CMI is my first choice, but the $ to wife ratio is killing me.

Re: Stainless Marine Gen III & Quick/Quiet?

How radical is your motor going to be,the gen 3's are really for big cube's. I ran lightning headers for 4 years with there version of silent choice and new today the lightnings are only around $2000 w/selectable exhaust, the stainless marine 3's are going to be at least 2400$ w/tails even if you get them at cost and you will need mufflers too for another 800-1200$. The closest you will probably be able to come to silent choice for the stainless 3's (if you really have your heart set on them) will be switchable external tip mufflers, trick had the livorsi's on sale,Smitty
