Ft. Lauderdale Boat Launch Questions
Happy New Year Everyone!
I'm planning to bring the boat down to Ft. Lauderdale with the intention of running to Bimini or Freeport.
I know there are quite a few city ramps in FTL but my question is this: Do they permit overnight parking of your rig while you're away? My guess is NO.
Does anyone have a better idea of how to do this? Should I talk to a marina that would charge me to keep my rig there while I'm at sea?d
Any help would be appreciated!

Craig, your closest ramp to Port Everglades would be on 15th street .. It gets hectic there on weekends.. I'm not sure about the parking. Or.. come down to Dania Beach (10 Min) to Harbor Town Marina, nice ramps, about 5 or 6 ramps, cheap in and out and yes you can park your rig overnight.
Have fun,

14th Street Causeway in Pompano Beach is 10 minutes north of the Lauderdale strip. Big lot, 3 double-wide ramps, overnite parking, 5 bucks a day. 5 minutes from the inlet.

All of the aforementioned ramps are good enough to launch from, I am just wondering about your rig!
If it is something nice, you should think about secure parking (as in fenced and guarded).
American Offshore on Old Griffin Rd comes to mind (not cheap but safe), Jackson Marine is another one, but a fairly long idle to Everglades inlet.

You could launch at 14th St and leave your truck & trailer @ Hideaway, they have trailer storage now. Call Eddie & tell him Lucky Strike sent you.

How you been brutha???
Jackson would work, but they would have to sling it, they dont have a ramp, also, the parking is not secure, unless he can make a deal to leave it inside the fence.
