biggus, i'll keep an eye on it but it should bring more than i want to spend and i really like lh helm so there room for a hot foot, plus early boats have much better (metal) hardware.

I had a Glastron carlson with a lot of HP (500) ( Boss 302 FORD )
I had an ALPHA SS on it that was raised 2 1/2 at the transom.
My prop shaft was 3 inches below the pad bottom.
The boat was highly TINKERED with and was VERY fast ( mid 90's)
Toward the end ( just before I sold it) I could blow the drive at will.
2 minutes WOT - let off - NO more bottom gears.
The boat never got in the air and take off's were never hard on the drive since it was mounted so high it slipped on take off.( you didn't want to be behind the boat because it looked like a jet boat coming on plane.)

The boat has been in Muskoka for the last 10-15 years. It was baby blue, then Butson's who restores all the antique wood boats up here restored this one to match the antiques, of one there customers collections. Hense the burgandy. Since thse pictures were take, I have changes the Donzi on the side to classic OEM style.
Would I sell it.... sure, but you won't like the price.

The Muskokas...... my bad, from your post on the NYE Bros turbine boat I thought it might have been a Thousand Islands boat....
Oh well if you feel like towing from the Muskokas, the North East Donzi Club is holding it's 4th Annual Donzi Run the weekend of July 13-16.
http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43173
There should be 20+ Donzi's ranging from late 60's 16's, jet 18's, BH 18's, HP500 22's, and some bigger ZX's...26's + 33's...
There are a couple of guys that tow down from your part of the world every year.
Make the trip, you'll have a blast.

Mark Nye has a cottage in Muskoka, I know him from there.
I don't really have a trailer for the donzi, that is my Sea Ray trailer and it is isn't really suitable for the boat other than to pull it out for service. ( it sits in a lift in the boathouse )
The only time I ever really go to anything with a boat is to the outboard drags.
Though, I would like to see some other restored boats, so maybe I should get off my ass and see some events.
I need to get mine up to my standards before I show it though.
We have A LOT of Donzi's in the area, that doesn't supprise me that some came from here.
