Default Cabin Carpet Cleaning

My recent project boat came with a fairly clean cabin however a terrible moldy mildew smell from sitting for 2 yrs covered up, the carpet is drying yet still a little dampish, and it has some staines, but all and all is in good shape, (other then scent) i dont think it needs to be replaced, just cleaned. what is the best way to do this, i was thinking of just hiring a mobil shampoo van cleaning guy, but thought maybe id give it a go myself if it is worth it, any ideas?

Look in the yellow pages in your area for a supplier of carpet cleaning proucts . They will give you the best advice.

The other route is to have a reputable carpet cleaning co. come out and do it. Key being reputable.
