NO BLEACH....that will dry out the vinyl and it will yellow in the sunlight.

Try ZEP (Home Depot) Citrus Cleaner mixed 50/50 with water and a terry towel for starters. If that does not clean it up try the citrus cleaner full strength.........AND if that fails then try gasoline on a rag....followed by the 50/50 mixture to clean the gas up and finish off the a high quality vinyl protectant with UV inhibitors( West Marine has a good one).

Krazy Klean (local boat store may carry it) and Magic Eraser. We've used Clorox Clean-up and use a vinyl conditioner afterwards so it doesn't damage the vinyl as someone else indicated.

I have used WD40 on white vinyl - work Great and doesn't seem to affect the vinyl at all!

Also bleach will break down the cotton fiber sewing thread that holds the vinyl together. bleach is a no no.

Also magic erasers and castrol super cleaner for the black soot on the transom. And I have an all white boat.
