How did this happen?

I don't know. How did it happen ??? I don't think
the structure has anything to do with it. Slam any
boat in the side and it will break. Sonic included.
Sonics are great boats. Its just a matter of what your
looking for, Fountains & Sonics are 2 different style
of boats. Just depends on what you want. I think
the quality is on par with each other. Just my opinion.

You are correct! Why chose when you can have the best of both worlds?! Patrick designed all the plus factors of both boats into his Active Thunders.

Sonic 31SS = +/- 29' Agressive Deep V

Fountain 35 = +/- 32' Go fast Hull

My question is : At what critical point will the lenght take over on Hull design in the rough...?

Ha ha!?

Had a Sonic, have a Fountain.
Two completely different boats, both a blast to drive.
The Sonic tracks better in slop, handles bow crushers better and has more headroom. The Fountain's lighter and faster....you forget about the left hand throttles within the first 30 minutes...unless you have triples.
