JFM311 that is horrible. There are many times I am blasting down a straight and think "if a deer comes out of the woods I am dead" Night is worse as you can over run your headlight real quick. Thats why you have to live each day as if it were your last because something like that can happen and there is no way of avoiding it. You guys are right, we will all be on thumpers soon. I don't care as long as they have the power. They are quiet and get great gas mileage so bring them on. 200hp is not far away. :D

The technology is definitely there, but they still need to adress the weight issue. It will weigh approx. the same as an SRX (550lbs.) dry, with the 151" track probably 565lbs. For a trail sled, not a big deal, but for a mountain sled, toooo heavy. Bummer, oh well it is trick and maybe they will be able to trim off some of the "FAT".

Yamaha bought REDLINE, that is why it looks like a REDLINE! Notice there has been no advertising for REDLINE lately! This thing is AWESOME! It is definitely WAY ahead of its time. I am sure that with due time weight will be reduced and performace enhanced, but what a great way to start! Have always been and will continue to be a TEAM BLUE man!

This year will be the first for 4 stroke machines in motorcycle GP racing. GP racing has been 500cc 2 strokes until now. These are the fastest race bikes built. Over the next couple years, the change over to only 4 stroke GP bikes will be made. The only 4 strokes in the class for 2002 are Yamaha and Honda so far. This is great news as the technology gained will trickle down to the consumer over the coming years.

why is this so shocking? SkiDoo,Polaris,and Artic Cat have 4 strokes in the hopper as well. SkiDoo has a Winter Olympics 4 stroke 1000.
