MIAMI VICE BLUES - some stuff for enthusiasts
It was 20 years ago, I was 13 yo when I saw the Vice Scarab on TV... I felt in love!

Here are some souvenirs for the fans. I followed all the episodes when I was a teenager and I just can't wait to see the 2006 version...

The only episode that I know of with a boat race was in the episode titled: "The Great McCarthy" from Season one. The first year of Vice was not a Scarab, boat was a Chris Craft Stinger.... 2nd season they switched to the Scarab and the third season "Irish Eyes Are Crying" the Ferrari Daytona is blown up and "Crocket" switches to the Testarossa in the next episode.

Airwolf and Magnum PI are my other fav's from the eighties. Airwolf (a modified Bell 222 helicopter), Magnum PI switched models of 308's three times, a 1979 carb version, 1981 GTSi (fuel injected) and finaly a 1984 GTS QV!

My degree is in film and television productions; in film history I was "loved" when we discussed Orson Welles and I said: "he's the guy who did the voice of Robin Masters!". Would have done better in that course if they covered Television history!

I have 1 and 2 on vice I watch just a few shows to drag it out I hope we will get 3 before nexted year nov06

My brother has a vice scarab that he is starting a refurb on & a repower. He has some #3 big shafts & some 540's that he plans to supercharger. The boat should do Miami Vice proud with twin 900-1000's. It's still one of the coolest boats made.

The accual "Vice Scarab" was at the 1000 islands poker run about 3 years ago and I believe it is still in the 1000 islands (upstate NY for those who dont know) sitting on a trailer. Every oncein a while I would see it out in the water with its new owner. The last time I saw it on the trailer I believe it had TR drives but not sure what power it had.
