I know this, but what does it have to do with anything?

Ok, let's hear about Donzi now. That's my fav, but more expensive.

It always seems that people get crazy when talking about Fountains...

Why do they get such a bad rap?

My former boat was a 25 outlaw. My buddy had a 27 fever. Same power (496HOs) same year. Obviously Baja is non stepp and fountain is Stepp. The Outlaw was faster. The Outlaw held 100 Gallons of fuel. The Fountain held 50. We were forever stopping for fuel for him, he was alway worried about running out... and all he did was ***** about staring directly at the windsheild frame when sitting in the bolster. Also the cabin door is a ***** to open and forget about opening while running.

Just ck'd out the 38ZR with 525 staggered. I am not bashing just giving you some things I noticed.

First price. You'll save money buying 38 or 42 Fountain.
#2 cockpit is very tight compared to Fountain. I could barely fit into bolster. Me 5 9" 180.
3-VERY HARD to enter cabin. The steps or configure is way off.
4-Fountain has more headroom in cabin. My 35 had more room in cabin.
Sit on couch and my head hits headliner. I'm not kidding.
5- May not be an issue, v-berth has no room at all. very shallow and no length, I should have climbed in and stretched out but was hard to crawl into.
6- cabin seemed plain and basic.

Donzi is fast, I think they are made well. Was one of the few boats I even wanted to board to ck out. Both will treat you right.

Ok, it (reality) just punched me in the mouth, my mistake...

We're talkin the beak thing again...

I guess when you hear 38 Fountain, your initial thoughts are that it's a bigger boat than a 36 Outlaw.

Ok, here we go then. He has a 40 ft. slip. What does that do?
