Re: What kind of speed can I expect? 28' Saber
Assuming the motor is a 454 mag 365 HP? not the 7.4 330HP, I'de say 57-60 at best, turning a Mirage 25 at 5200.

Re: What kind of speed can I expect? 28' Saber
If the hull is sound, you have a good starting point to work with.
You can always take the boat back to the plant for the brothers to go over it. And you can always put big power in it later. |
Re: What kind of speed can I expect? 28' Saber
The first one had an arneson on it. Don't know if someone changed that or not. I think this motor only spins 4800 but you would love the ride of the boat. Good luck. NK

I agree, I can't see a big boat spooling a 25 pitch prop with a 454 either. Something is not adding up. Most boats with a 1.5 ratio, running around 5000 rpm with a 25 M+ are running 70-73 mph. |
