Assuming the motor is a 454 mag 365 HP? not the 7.4 330HP, I'de say 57-60 at best, turning a Mirage 25 at 5200.

Thanks for your input guys! The boat is a Michigan boat, all red with a black stripe. I my hearing more and more that this was the first one built.

If the hull is sound, you have a good starting point to work with.
You can always take the boat back to the plant for the brothers to go over it. And you can always put big power in it later. :cool:

The first one had an arneson on it. Don't know if someone changed that or not. I think this motor only spins 4800 but you would love the ride of the boat. Good luck. NK

the surface drive from the first saber is on my 19' baron. i think they did a 454 mag package in that boat when it sold. i know it had big power one or two summers. can,t what to see that collection of boats you have back on the water this spring.

I agree, I can't see a big boat spooling a 25 pitch prop with a 454 either. Something is not adding up. Most boats with a 1.5 ratio, running around 5000 rpm with a 25 M+ are running 70-73 mph.
