Default Swimming pools and boats

Already have a 38 fountain - just built a new house and most likely going to put a pool in. How many of you have a boat and a pool. How much do you use each - I currently boat at lake cumberland from April 1 to Nov 2 hitting about 80% of the weekends. The way I see it - I need some form of water for Mon, Tues, Weds and Thurs. Opinions please!!

Have a boat and signed a contract on a pool, they start 1st week of March. Have friends with pools and enjoy them, think it a great thing after a day of boating . We are fortunate enough to boat years round in FLA and the pool season is longer too. Some people advised us against it..say you will use it alot for awhile then novelty will wear off and never touch it. Sounds a lot like when we bought first boat.......they were 100% wrong there and we disagree with the pool prediction as well.

I think you are right. We built a pool for the girls and I had a big waterfall built at the end so that you can enjoy it year 'round.

I always figured that we had a pool the wife wouldn't be into boating anymore. Why do all the work of going boating when you could just go outside to the pool? I always seem to find an excuse when she talks about one. I think my time is running out though. Finances is always a good one to use.

we have had a pool for 4years now. it is great,we call it our weekday water. but they sure make you lazy. check out www.polarpools.com saved us about 15k building it our selfs.
be sure to check into the new salt systems i forget what they are called. that is the only way to go. no chemicals pays for its self in 3-4 years. and the water is always clear.
