I am going to take a difference stance. Price the boats at 30,35 and 40K. As a buyer I would feel more comfortable if the pricing were accurately represented. I would recommend pricing the boats rounded at the nearest thousand and buck the recent trend. If someone in a mental fog suggests they can buy a competitive boat for 5 dollars less let them know that you can sell yours right now for $200 less and make a statement. You will not be undersold. :evilb:

I used to work in sales and round numbers just don't work. People seem to think that pricing something at 40,000 even is somehow amateurish or something. If you want 40k for the boat, price it at some oddball number like 42,970 or 43,550. The first (realistic) offer they'll most likely make would be a round number like 38k or 39k, then you might want them to meet you half way and end you end up around 40. It's a strange game and it's worked for me in the past, but confusing numbers sometimes work because they're thinking that the price is really 39 and not 40, this price could bring more perspective buyers to your table. The problem is if you price it at 40k someone who is in the 30k range won't even look at it. I know it sounds stupid but even if it's 39999 they think of it being in range. you might limit your buyers by going the extra 5 bucks so you need to decide if it's worth the chance.

I would like to see the ''No bull'' out the door price,instead of the asking price + tax + title + delivery + liecence + set up, etc. Ask what you need for it with an honest profit and let the others waste time trying to sell the hidden cost.

yeah but ya see. if you have it listed fo 79,995. and would minimum want 70 to sell it, you could in theory list it for 70, but what if the buyer would have given 75?

I'm not saying to sell your self short .Just post out the door price. People will always try to deal no matter what the price.
I just think a real Buyer would rather deal on overall price instead of asking price + + +. A looker will see 29,995 and think its good, til you spend a half hour with them and price grows to 33,000. I just don't like the games, I guess.
