I did it. It cleaned up the front of the engine and I fortunately have no water pressure issues. Engine temps are also very good w/ the 142 deg. stat.
My motivation was that the thermostat housing was ratty and deleting the pump got rid of one more thing to go wrong. Speaking of which, I have two cir. pumps that are low hour I will give away just pay shipping... Bryan |

I went with cam driven pumps, makes changing the impeller a snap and cleans evrything up...but it aint cheap mine, are not efi motors

Twin 468's. I have no idea why some people have problems and others don't. Each motor has a large engine oil cooler and a smaller trans oil cooler, starboard side has p/s cooler. Both sides have sea strainers. Maybe that info helps? I don't have enough experience with these set ups to guess accurately. Bryan |
