Well everybody, it's time for the Baltimore boat show. This weekend thru next weekend. I'm sure Dave's Trailer Sales will be there. In my continuing quest to tell the entire world about rip offs and poor service let me share my experience {short version} with this trailer co. You get what you pay for, so the first part is partly on me. I bought a Haul Rite trailer from Dave's. Witin the first 90 days three of the hub/bearing combos failed. Dave's refused any responsibility other than to let me come by and pick up some beatings at no charge. This after a near catastrophe on I64 in Tidewater on the way to Lake Gaston. That cost me $160.00 in emergency repairs just on the first hub. Now the good news. We limped into Portsmouth Trailer Ssles on three legs at 3pm on a Friday afternoon and they couldn't have been any nicer or effecient. We were back on the road by 5. They impressed me so much that when I finally gave up on the axles and hubs that came on the Haul Rite I called Portsmouth Trailer again and bought two new axles. I haven't had a problem with the new axles, and that was two years ago. I found out when I removed the junk axles from Dave's that they were skinny round shafts but sheathed in a square tube to make them look more substantial. Dave's does sell a higher line of trailer, and he does have some good prices, however, BEWARE OF THEIR SERVICE1111111 :mad:
