Re: New 38 Donzi ZX vs. 42 Executioner
Im a beak guy but I seen a 38 Donzi at a show and loved it (but I overnight almost every weekend).......It has a beautiful huge cabin......IMO if your going to park it in a slip and or overnight on a regular basis I would go with the Donzi.......the odd overnight mostly day boating and Poker Runs I would go with the Fountain.......the Ex is probably a little faster for the Poker Runs but a half a dozen 40' Skaters are gonna blow by the both of ya' like you are standing still anyways so I wouldnt worry much about that........drive em' both......and think hard about what your going to do with the boat.................doug

Re: New 38 Donzi ZX vs. 42 Executioner
No way a 35 zr has a stand up head unless there is a hatch over it.
We tied up next to a 38zr last year and the gunwales came to the hips. With the head floor dropped down inbetween the stringers there is still no way... Max headroom is 60" according to the website thats 5 feet and I bet thats in the entryway |
Re: New 38 Donzi ZX vs. 42 Executioner
I sat on the lounge in the cabin on that 38 at the Chicago show...my head was up in the headliner...less headroom than the beak...go figure.

I would go with comfort before speed, your not that far apart on speed you might as well be happy. Donzi would be my call. Good luck.

fountain!!!
as all the chit they put in will break if you run it right .. :D if you want all the junk in the trunk buy a bayliner.. a/c is 90 + in a fountain. or jump in the water when u are stopped,, ice chest wont drain the batteries. gives u a reason to run the boat to go get more ice... generator and all that is for cruisers and yachts and sailboats.. just an opinon... and this is mine. |
