Re: Horrible news - we lost one of our own - OSO member Bill272 has passed away
I just read the threads from the Lake St Clair sites 42 so hard to believe. A lot of people talked about meeting him here first, so many people knew him on that lake and they all say the same thing that he found a way to love his family and boating. Just last week I attended the funeral of a girl friend who died suddenly of a stroke, earlier today I found out my Godfather who is 92 had a stroke and will not live through the night, and now this, just a sad sad day.

Truly, truly saddened by this news. Bill and I never met, but shared a common burden of avoiding benign Avalanche bashing.
I posted this news over on the Avalanche board too. This is terrible.

we must all meet our maker at some time
say a prayer for the family, this is truly an untimely loss, and let us hope they can find it in their heart at this most difficult time to remember the great architect of the universe did not lead a stairway leading no where....

Very sad news. My condolences to family. We had a local firefighter of the same age pass away from a blocked artery a week or so ago. All of this hits close to home as I will be 42 in April. RIP
