I heard a guy say this to his friend at the New York Boat Show. He was looking into the engine room of a 42' Cigarette with triple supercharged engines.
"Hey, look at this,(pointing to the center engine), even the GENERATOR has a big blower!"
"Hey, look at this,(pointing to the center engine), even the GENERATOR has a big blower!"

I always get asked
" Is that one of them Noisey Boats?"
So I always respond No it is very Quiet. Then while they are looking at the transom I fire it up in there face. Usually get some really pissed off looks after that!!

You wanna trade? The ones who ask this are usually in a Bayliner 
Taken her out today? Nah just gonna put some salt water in and on her so I can go back home and spend the next 3 hours of my day cleaning it off
And of course, I have a boat that looks faster on the trailer than it really runs, so they ask you how fast does she go, and of course I give them the honest 60mph thing and they look a little disappointed
I think they are looking to hear it goes 200mph
The best was coming home from Havasu last year (well not the best because we lost a wheel bearing) but while on the side of the road repairing it some tumble weed tweekers came out of no where and these guys were the local sand men with hair and no teeth...they approached me and said whoa, some nice boats, we saw you guys pull up...we just live right over there (I was like...where?) the guys says wow, I bet you could really smuggle allot of coke in that thing huh He then says to me, yeah I used to run them there Cigarette boats down in Florida and we used to bring in allot of drug man Okay well nice talkin to ya, I gotta go

Some of these are funny as Sh$T... I can see people actually doing these things... I just bought an 02 Dominator, and I was telling someone about it, and he said well how much did you pay for it..?? (he's a friend) so I told him... He then says "YOU DID WHAT..?? YOU PAID HOW MUCH FOR THAT BOAT??"...(and I think I got a good deal...lol) My boat isn't even close to the level of some of the boats on this site, so I can only imagine... But people really have NO CLUE how much a "Power Boat" "Cigarette" "Race Boat", ect... Really Cost... Not to mention what it costs to actually use it...
