I can tie a monkeys fist too :) A handy trick for passing lines is drilling a hole through an old softball,splicing a loop of small line through it, and using it instead of a traditional monkeys fist. People are used to catching softballs and an added bonus if they miss it is that they float.

Growing up a Navy brat, that's how dad refered to lots of things. The bulkhead (wall), the overhead (ceiling), the deck (floor), the head (bathroom) and so on.

In a high performance boat the bulkhead would be the wall between the forward part of the engine compartment and the rear bench seating area. Often the trim pumps are mounted on the rearward side of the bulkhead.
