Baja 38 Special??????????????

My buddy is looking for a mid to late 90's 38 special. He is new to boating, and will be using it on Lake Michigan. He is more interested in Party room, rather than top speed.

Over the years, Ive heard good and bad about Baja boats. Tell us about the good, bad, and the ugly.

Any structural issues? Rigging? Overall ride quality and handling? Etc, Etc Thanks, MT

BTW, what are some other comparable boats in size and price? He like the wider beam, large cockpits.
