13 foot KAAMA replica Mini Hawk. Still have it.
PS- the 28 formula ss doesnt ride as well as you think it would. Just my thoughts though.

Re: Favorite Boat you've owned?

The reason I put this up is because alot of people seem to miss the "simplicity" of a boat they owned before they moved up.
Sure, I wanna be one of the big dog's on the lake, but to what end??

I just want me and my wife to be able to have a good time on the water. She wants a little comfort and quarters, I want a little speed. I'll never be the biggest or fastest, but I want to be noticed at least a little.

It seems that many people here had more fun with previous "smaller"boats than what they are currently running.
I don't want my boat to become an albatross around my neck, I want something that is easy to run, easy on the wallet(if that is possible...)
I'm leaning towards the Formula or Older Cig 28SS. I've even found a few boats identicle to my old Baja that I've considered.

Wow, hard question! Have owned a bunch, (currently have 4). Most "fun" to date is the 24 Marlin Empress. Bought it with a 260/Alpha and switched to a modified 502/Bravo with 625 HP. Runs strong and handles great until the really big water on Lake Michigan. I still have a blast in the big water but my wife considers it a good day if I don't crack any of her ribs or knock the wind out of her more than a couple of times. Hence the 39 Scorpion and now 43 Black Thunder. Used to own a jet that was a blast so have started looking again. I have to believe that one of the jet racers they use on those sprint courses in New Zeeland has to be the biggest blast possible. Heck, they roll them up on shore and get out laughing. Someday will test that theory!!

ask 42mti about his 34 Magic. Awesome boat, great lines, great size- handled the big water at LOTO, and they are giving them away. (off brand maybe....I don't know why so cheap.)

Re: Favorite Boat you've owned?

I had the most fun in a 18' Sutphen (I owned it from age 25 to 37) :D :drink:

My 31' Cig Bullet was an awesome boat. It was large enough to take on big water and small enough that I could trailer and launch at the ramp by myself. It was a VERY easy boat to drive. I would have loved to have it for a few more years before we moved up, but sometimes things just fall into your lap and you have to take advantage of the situation.

The 38 that we have now requires two people to get it in the water and retrieve at the ramp....but it will provide fun for us for many years to come!!!

Re: Favorite Boat you've owned?

thats an easy one for me...my mistress is a blast to run hard in the big water and its only gonna get better when i have 1000 doggies a side :D i can launch and load mine by myself no problem. custom trailer makes it a no brainer to load.
