Noise restrictions at LOTO?

Re: Noise restrictions at LOTO?
Enforcement of noise restrictions varies year to year at the lake. They seem to like the newer 3' from the transom law, and will even use it on older, grandfathered boats.
But it's always best to try to keep somewhat of a low profile when it comes to the WP down there.

Don't kid yourself it is a serious problem, as OU said its a sore subject for alot of performance boats, cost me well over 1,000 in fines last year, and yes this year they have more water patrol, thanks tgo the higher registration fees, they also will escort you to your dock after you get caught and you have 60 days to get into conformance of j-2005 90 decibel law, so your weekend is over ask Delo and 3600, I'm going with turn downs this year, cant find any mufflers that will work on blower motors, try to stay in the crowds and be real careful in party cove and the no wake, turn only 1 motor on and say your second engine wont start, and your idling home, might work, I'm just going to spend the money now so I dont have to deal with it. ruins your weekend . wiggler

Wiggler ---was curious what turn-downs you chose and how they worked for you. I know Gibson has them with the option to insert a muffler as well, did you choose them or the straight pipes? Angled straight down or each pointing outboard? Any experiences you could share would be appreciated.
