kevlar scarab???
how can you tell if a hull is kevlar?by the hull id?

Re: kevlar scarab???
this is the age old question :D unfortunately i don't think there is anything definitive as far as hull ID goes. about the only way is through inspection. kevlar has a goldish appearance but unfortunately most old resins do as well. it also does not grind well it will tend to kinda fuzz up as you grind on it (that is probably the best test). what year/model is the boat?

Shoot it from 30 feet away with your 40 cal, if it goes through it, well it's not kevlar :drink:

Re: kevlar scarab???
weigh it, kevlar 30' should be 400# lighter than stock ( I think a stock 30' 454, TRS should be about 6700#) kevlar about 6300#
