it worth 5 years after it leaves the showroom and how
much money did it cost you to own that boat for 5
years ( in real dollars ).
When your talking about buying used, the boat has
already depricated. Like anything they the price tends
to level out after 5 years.

Re: Do Cigs have superior resale value?
When I was in high performance brokerage boats years ago in Ft. Lauderdale, a clean, used Cigarette listing was Gold!
The sticker shock after a boat show made more than one brokerage deal for me. A clean boat of another brand was not as easy to sell. I had some immaculate listings that just sat month after month.
One guy from Long Island came down to see me. He had been shopping for a HP boat for months. So many salesmen said: "It's just as good as a Cigarette", when trying to sell him their brand, that he came to me specifically for a Cigarette.
It certainly doesn't hurt that the name "Cigarette" has become the generic term for the kind of boat we love.

to choose from. But what I'm talking about is Showroom
to "putting her up for sale". Do you really loose less money
on A Cig than any other brand ? Why is it just used ones that
that everyone uses as an example? Someone has to buy
them new!!!! Otherwise there wouldnt be any used ones.
Right????
