Remember Elvis from Miami Vice?
That's a good theft deterrent!
For those of you who don't remember - Elvis was Crocketts Pet Gator who lived on his boat.

I was thinking the same thing. My boat is also kept on a lift behind my house. The only thing I do know is keep the power turned off to the lift when not using it. What does everyone else do that keeps their boat on a lift?

Shut it. I like 'em. Old boats with big cleats work.

so, prop locks, stern drive locks and keeping the boat on a lift pretty much eliminate most theft? I'm sure that if someone wants a boat, nothing will stop them.....but these 3 things eliminate what.....about 98% chance of theft?
