Anybody figure out Form 4136 to get the fuel tax rebate for boat gas yet? I got my state refund, but I can't figure out the federal form. I don't see general boating as an option. Any tax types know the answer?

I don't believe theres a FED refund. just a state. The road tax refund is usually a state thing. If I remember the fed tax isn't for road maintnance, thus being non refundable. I'm not 100% sure though. If you go to the BOATUS web site, and look up Government affairs Government affairs

In Missouri, it is available to everyone. We have taken advantage of it the last few years. I am not sure, but you may have to file it with the state that you bought the gas in.
